If you are not familiar with the Danish word, Hygge, pronounced hue-gah, the feeling of being cozy, content, calm and surrounded by people you love, these little buns are all of that and more. When I moved here from Copenhagen I found the cinnamon buns offered at most bakeries were too sweet for what I was used to. Although they were all delicious, we wanted to create something a little closer to home. The Hygge Bun was born. The perfect combination of sweet and savory from the walnuts, dates and warm spices like cardamom and cinnamon. They’re all organic and vegan and maybe one of the healthiest cinnamon buns you’ll ever have.
